In
the last few months, there has been a lot of talking about “ saving
our planet “.
Now
– although I shall be leaving the place shortly, I do not doubt
that many people (notably those who will be staying, and particularly
those who “have it good”) will be satisfied to see the movements,
in Government and elsewhere, to successfully conclude the affair, and
save the place!
The
only thing that disturbs me about it all, is that it does not seem to
be those who have had maximum effect in reaching the “high noon”
point who will be paying for the procedure!
On the contrary – they
will be the only ones to have the money to set up the companies that
are going to save us all, without charge and without making profit,
of course!
No
– it will be everyone, in particular those who don’t
have it so good.
They will be requested to go to the paying stations,
hand in their various taxes, and just hope that the money will be spent
correctly by those who are mainly responsible for the situation.
Even
if Air lines, Car manufacturers, energy producers and all the others
ARE requested and required to pay more, they will simply pass the
increases on to the paying client!
After
all, the Managing Director whose “carbon fingerprint” is
enormous, with his eternal bombing around the Planet “on business”,
can hardly be expected to stay home, like most of us, and do business
by Internet, Telephone, Mail and all the other means available to
him. No indeed, it’s a reputation thing, after all, a Private jet
with just himself and the “chosen few” on board is much more
likely to activate business.
Well
– why the hell not?
Others do, and mainly because they have to!
Looking at the protesters against poverty in India the other day,
doing their thousands of miles/km on foot, sometimes with no shoes
available, I thought that a touch of humility from the big bosses
would be quite refreshing!
No
– they know quite well that when the day arrives, everybody will be
accused, since one knows that although “all Pigs are equal,' only 
some are
more equal than others” – at least when it comes to advantages
and sorting out the mess the “more equal” pigs have left behind!
I
have mentioned before, elsewhere, that in any case everything has an
end, only the sausage has two, and….. doesn’t it say somewhere
that “dust to dust” etc..?
As
I understand it, the Scientific point of view is that the Planet,
which we will all
be forced to try and save, was actually created by the explosion and
death of another sun or star, somewhere out there.
Happens
all the time, it appears, so why should this one be any different?
So………… !!!!
